What's Your Story?

“The only thing that’s ever changed the world is a new story.”  That quote was in a video by Samantha Bennett.

Stories seem to be a recurring theme in my life right now.  Whether it’s reading stories to my grandchildren, hearing stories being shared, or listening to a sleep story at night, stories just keep popping up. 

This got me to thinking.  When we were children, almost every story was a new story.  Then we found favorites that we read or heard over and over until they became a familiar part of our lives.  And they became old stories.  Sometimes we left those stories behind and sought new stories again.  

What if the only way to change ourselves is to change our story? 

I’m not talking about lying about the past or making things up, but turning a page or starting a new chapter.
