When I first approached this area in Glacier National Park, I only noticed the waterfalls. They were a colorful, roiling torrent of snow melt tumbling rapidly downhill. But after sitting a bit, I discovered a quiet pool of water filling a bowl in the top of a boulder. The surface was still enough to reflect the trees above it.
It was a gentle reminder that even when there is turbulence all around us, we don’t have to participate in it. We can find a quiet place to sit and reflect. |
